bedding, shelter and first aid

Shelter and bedding

- At some point, your body needs to rest. It is possible to go on for more than 24 hours in a survival situation. and you may have to do this especially if you are on your own.
- But, the body needs sleep. It is how your immune system keeps you healthy. Your muscles and skeletal structure are also repaired during sleep. On shelter. it again depends on your environment, skills, and how much you want to pack.

Is there any room at the inn?

- Tent styles are aplenty.
- The dome tent is the most common one around. This lightweight tent is roughly the shape of an igloo, and has an aluminum or titanium frame.
- A heavy-duty sleeping bag could also be an option.

Other bedding items

- A tarp, whether it is plastic or canvas. is an essential piece of equipment, as it will provide a waterproof area around your campsite.
- A blanket.
- A canvas ground mat.
- An army sleeping bag is a good choice as it is an all-in-one solution to the items listed above.

Portable medical aid

- A complete first aid kit is necessary for any bug-out bag.
- Must-haves are: antiseptic cream. alcohol. painkillers, anti-coagulants to prevent blood loss, cotton gauze and bandages, hand sanitizers, and sanitary wipes.
